White for street, livery colors for the scene
Clean white is the everyday pick and reads sharp on any lowered chassis. But the reason people specifically want Falken lettering is the signature blue-and-red combination — run the wordmark in livery colors and the car instantly reads “drift build” at any meet. It’s the boldest factory-style look in the JDM catalog.
The drift-chassis fit
S-chassis, Z cars, 86s and E36/E46 drift builds mostly run 17“–18“ with a 40–45 profile. That band takes a 1“–1.1“ letter comfortably. Rear tires on a drift car are consumables — order spare rears with your set if the car actually slides, since the lettering goes where the tire goes. Holding up to abuse
Heat cycles from sliding are the hardest thing you can do to a sidewall, and vulcanized raised rubber tolerates them far better than any vinyl. Prep matters most — degrease thoroughly per the installation guide and let the glue cure fully before the first pull.
